About Allen Land Group, Inc.
John J. Allen formed Allen Land Group, Inc. in 1994 in order to provide specialized brokerage services and development expertise to owners of raw land. Allen Land Group, Inc., through its affiliates, has also been a principal in several land developments in northeast Florida, including the Galleria Pointe area near Butler Boulevard, 250 acres in the Doctor’s Inlet area of Clay County and 500 acres in northwest Jacksonville.
The company has significant experience with resolving difficult wetland permitting issues and additionally provides proven sources of offsite mitigation for northeast Florida wetland permits.
Management
Principals

John J. Allen
Jack has been a commercial real estate broker in Florida for over 20 years, first with a national firm and then with his own company started in 1994. Prior to that Jack was a commercial lender and corporate banking officer with Barnett Bank. He is a graduate of Cornell University with a B.S. degree in Agricultural Economics and is a licensed Florida real estate broker. Jack’s continuing service to the community is evidenced by his present commitments to the Boards of Trustees of the University of North Florida Foundation and the Museum of Contemporary Art – Jacksonville.

Laura Henry Allen
Laura is a real estate attorney and advisor to the company. Laura was associated with the national law firm of Foley and Lardner for twelve years prior to joining her husband at Allen Land Group, Inc. in 1997. She has a B.S. degree in Agricultural Economics from Cornell University and a J.D. from Stetson University College of Law.
Team

John J. Allen, III
John’s evolving role at the company is primarily in market research and strategy, while assisting with project management and financial market analysis. John is a graduate of the University of North Florida with a degree in Finance. He also manages his family’s cattle farm in Putnam County.

Jody Lane Brooks
Jody joined the company as in-house legal counsel in 2008. She was formerly Senior Counsel for The St. Joe Company for the Regulatory Affairs Division and St. Joe Commercial. She previously was associated with Lewis, Longman and Walker. Jody has a B.S. in Business from Jacksonville University and a J.D. and Certificate in Environmental and Land Use Law from the University of Florida.

Elizabeth C. Poole
Elizabeth has been the accounting manager and paralegal for the company since 2004, after 20 years as the title agency manager and real estate paralegal for Foley and Lardner. She additionally has substantial experience in title insurance underwriting and managing residential real estate closings in the southern Ohio area.

Alice C. Trice
Alice assists with marketing, and coordinates the non-real estate related activities of the office. She previously was with the Ocala Chamber of Commerce and has taught in the Ocala public schools. She has a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Florida.
